Wartrace now accepts online payments

The Town of Wartrace has launched an online payment system to give customers more payment options for paying water and sewer bills, taxes, fees and other accounts. The online payment portal debuted on the Town website on Wednesday, December 14. The web page, launched in November, can be found at www.townofwartrace.com. To use the new system, customers will create password protected user profiles. If paying a water bill, they will need their water account number. If paying property taxes, citations, or other fees, a separate account will need to be created. Along with the online payment option, Wartrace will now accept credit cards and check cards at the Town Hall. Customers may continue to pay bills by check or cash in person or by using the drop box.

“The ability to pay online and by credit and debit cards has been regularly requested by our water customers,” said Mayor Thomas Hurt. “With the launch of our web page last month, we finally had the infrastructure in place to make it happen. I want to thank our employees who have worked tirelessly to bring this service to our customers.”

Wartrace has partnered with Nexbillpay, a trusted third party automated payment service that allows customers to pay bills online. Nexbillpay charges a small service fee to cover payment handling and all processing charges. The service fee will be calculated and disclosed to customers prior to finishing payments. Town of Wartrace does not keep any part of the Nexbillpay service fee. Nexbillpay is a separate entity providing a service for all the customers of Town of Wartrace.
