Parks and Recreation
The Town of Wartrace has several parks and recreation venues. Right next to the city park with baseball field, a playground, and open fields, you'll find Jernigan Field where the annual Wartrace Horse Show is held. Since 1906, the oldest one-night horse show in Tennessee has attracted fans to witness the finalists competing to enter the National Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration. The Wartrace Music Fest is also held annually at Jernigan Field the first Saturday of June.
The Wartrace Community Center and Park Pavilions may be rented for special occasions. The fees (cash only) are as follows:

$50.00 Deposit, refunded if center is left in good condition. Renters are to carry off their garbage. Rental and deposit fees are required in cash.

Jernigan Field

Normally used for horse shows, this venue can be used for car shows, concerts, or other events. Bleachers are available, as well as a small stage (to be upgraded Spring 2023). Jernigan Field (aka Horse Show Grounds) has restrooms and a concession stand area.
