Wartrace Police Department

the WPD, has been around for decades, ready to protect the city limits and the county limits residents at a moments notice. We have one police chief who patrols Wartrace, Normandy, and Bell Buckle protecting Bedford County towns.

We ensure our Town is protected at all times while serving the community in a variety of other ways.  Municipal Court is held on the 3rd Tuesday of every other month at Wartrace Town Hall.

Local radio station WLIJ (1580) will broadcast when the shelters are opening. The Town of Wartrace also has an emergency siren that will sound should a warning be issued. Those requiring shelter during severe weather conditions should monitor their Televisions or local radio station to determine when to safely proceed to the shelter. Do not wait until the severe weather conditions are upon us.

Wartrace Volunteer Fire Department

also known as WVFD has been around for almost the same amount of time that the town has been established. We provide support for Wartrace city and county limits and not limited to protecting other parts of the County like Bell Buckle or Normandy. Responding to fires or emergencies isn't the only thing we do, we also hold Fundraisers and other types of events that not only support us, but support other great causes as well. We have 2 stations one located on each side of the railroad tracks in Wartrace.
