Wartrace launches town web page

The Town of Wartrace has launched its first web page which can be found at www.townofwartrace.com. The new site features information about the town, its operations and services, historical information, and area attractions.

“It is a pleasure to announce that the Town of Wartrace now has a web page making information available online for our community and visitors,” said Mayor Thomas Hurt. “I believe our citizens will find the site to be very informative and helpful.”

The web page has numerous forms for citizens to access including park facility rental reservations, building permit applications, and the water connection service form. Information on backflow prevention, the town’s water quality report, and court costs are also listed.

“We are so excited that everyone in middle Tennessee will be able to see what a special town this is,” said Alderman Sonia Miller. “Our citizens have waited a long time for Wartrace to have a web presence and I am hopeful we will have exceeded their expectations.”

One feature of the website is a monthly calendar which features meeting dates and times, as well as special events and holiday closings. The calendar also shows meter reading dates and water cut-off days to remind residents about their water bill payments in order to avoid reconnection fees.

Mayor Hurt said the town hopes to expand the site in the coming months to allow online payments for city services and fees such as water and sewer payments and court fees. “This feature should be a real convenience for the citizens who are at work during our regular business hours,” he said.
