July 4th Celebration Returning to Wartrace

The Wartrace Independence Day celebration - Star Spangled Fourth of July - is returning this year for residents and visitors. Last year, the Parks & Recreation Committee hosted the first-ever event with an estimated attendance between 300 and 400 people throughout the day. This year there will again be a bicycle drawing giveaway as well as a bounce house for kids, cornhole games, photo booth, amazing food vendors, live entertainment, and fireworks at dark.

"We hope that you make plans to come to our fun event," said Alderman Tammy Leverette, chairman of the Parks & Recreation Committee. "Our committee and our elected officials have worked hard to make this family-friendly event open and welcoming to everyone."

The Town is currently seeking sponsors for the fireworks show. Those who donate may hang their business banner at the park during the event. Sponsors may also set up a booth that may include information about their business, fun and games, crafts, or food. Contact Town Hall at (931) 389-6144 for a sponsorship application.
